Glad to see you back so soon Cali I almost serially freaked out – I need my GeekBrief – er, Beat!
As a DJ I like GeekBeat better, and judging from the other Revision3 shows I know they’ll take care of you – looking forward to my daily beats and glad you found a new podcasting family to work with
Yay! From one geek girl to another, THANK YOU for finding a way to keep the great stuff coming. I show clips from your videos often in my classroom to keep my adolescent students up to date on the latest, coolest tech news. Hope your relationship with Revision 3 will be a long and happy one. (You can’t lose, teaming up with a group that’s got Veronica, right? )
Cali, you and Revision3 is just such a good fit – I’m glad you’re going to be feeding all us gadget and geekaholics the news. I’m sure I’m not alone in thanking you and Neil and everybody else who helped produced your former show and I know I will be looking forward to the further adventures of Cali Lewis as our all-things-geek correspondent.
Consider me subscribed and I’ll be letting all of my forum goers know the big news, too!
Hi Cali,
I was shocked to view your very classy and professional end to the Geek Brief. I also knew you would be back! I got you on my iTunes – GeekBeat. Keep up the great work and know we are all behind you.
Hi Cali,
I don’t tweet, I don’t really facebook and I’m not the best respondent via email but this is to important not to comment on. It was with absolute horror I discovered your old site redirected me away to a different one. My 7 year old has become so used to the ritual of me sitting at my mac in the morning to see what the world of geek has to say that I panicked for a while about what I was going to tell him. He asks me to replay it if has missed something.
Just keep up the great work, both of you. Bigger and better I’m sure. Well at least until the TV networks catch on and make you both an offer you can’t refuse. International TV star, sounds good.
@mm01: To add the show to MIRO go to http://revision3.com/geekbeattv/subscribe choose one of the MP4 formats, right-click on it, choose ‘Copy link’, go to MIRO, press ‘Apple N’ or choose ‘Add feed’ from the ‘Side bar’ menu. The copied link should appear in the input box, so simply klick on ‘Add feed’ and you will receive the first Episode of Geekbeat. Sorry, I’m not sure about the correct menu text because I’m using another language.
Cali well done for getting to 4 years. The first 4 will always be the hardest. The next 4 will be even better. Can’t wait to see the new format. I just subscribed via iTunes.
I very much enjoyed watching GBTV over the last year or so. It was Neil’s idea and both of you built up the Cali and GeekBrief brand, and I commend both of you to have brought the community geek news with wit and joy.
I won’t subscribe to GeekBeat.TV, especially after reading http://bit.ly/azjp6a – the new brand sounds almost identical to GeekBrief.TV. To me it sounds like high-jacking a brand that you and your partner Neil built up together. Best of luck to you Luria (and best of luck to Neil)!
Yay! That horrible sad feeling and lump in my throat quickly turned to joy when I saw your happy smiling face on your blog, Cali. The words “Say it isn’t so!” were welling up in me as I prepared to mourn and lament the passing of Geek Brief but now I feel much better to know you’ll still be around to share your bright and positive vibe along with all the tech news we need to know about. Thanks! I’ll be subscribing to GeekBeat TV post haste and look forward to seeing your show again on a daily basis. Positive vibrations to you and yours from an avid fan on the far side of the pond here in Japan!
I’ve been a fan of the show since before it existed – I discovered you and Neal through the Crappy Christian Show back in the day.
Been a faithful viewer and evangelist for GeekBrief.tv for a very long time.
Sadly, I won’t be able to be a fan of GeekBeat.tv. The way this went down, the deliberate deception, the sheer gall of the timing evidencing the length of time this has been planned are disturbing to say the least. You thanked your GeekBrief fans for being the most loyal out there. That may be true – but it sadly isn’t a reflection of you. I never thought that shiny happy could turn into this. When I attempted to watch the final GeekBrief through iTunes and saw it had already been hijacked and replaced with GeekBeat…Wow.
I do wish you the best of luck, Luria – but I hope that before you have future success, you come to a point where you realize the depth of what you have done and come out the other side a repentant, stronger person for it.
I have no bitterness – just disappointment. And hope that you will turn around…Create something great. That is your own, not a replication of a past venture that you dismantled.
Hey Cali, sorry to see Geek Brief end I had been watching since you started. Subscribed to your new show though so look forward to more great stuff. Keep up the good work.
Not even gonna lie, this was the first I even heard about you and Neal. I’ve been watching you for all 4 of your years on, but I’m not much of a blog watcher. It was the strangest feeling, because I actually got really sad and almost started to tear up. I had no idea I had (or could have) that kind of connection with an Internet personality. Guess it goes to show that how much you care about us and your work shines through with each and every episode.
I’m divorced myself……*sigh*…..just good luck is all I’ll say with that. Words don’t help all that much I’ve found at the end of the day.
I look forward to seeing more of you on Beat!! Best of luck my dear.
I have no idea if this divorce is just a pr stunt or not. I having been through the real deal, I will admit to daily battles with cynicism and well meaning friends who show sincere sad puppy dog eyes while repeating and repeating every assurance ever heard about a subject they scarcely know or I hope may never have to know. It is all the same yet every partnership is unique.
Glad to have you back Cali. I’ve missed you absence since seeing you final episode of that ‘other’ show this morning (from my download). Had to come here right away to catch up. Best wishes for the future in all your many endeavors.
Haven’t written before. I’ve been a fan of your show for 2 years. Can only imagine how stressful the last few months must have been — in the words of Winston Churchill “KBO” (Keep Buggering On)! Really excited to have you back: I’ll be sure to tell all my friends also.
Best of luck with the new “new” thing!
When I subscribe to your new program in iTunes it says my iPad does not support that format. Never had the problem before. Any idea what’s going on? I miss you :>(
Yet again you come out with brilliant. get that kind of information came across your post groundwork for a client, and precisely what I needed.Big Penis
