Google Goggles is a very interesting development coming from Google HQ. It’s an application run on Android phones, and the goal is to allow you to get more information about any product, business or location just by taking a picture. Once you take the picture, Goggles will pull up all the information you ever wanted to know about it. In the video below, we see the examples of a chocolate bar and a movie theater.
This is the first video of Google Goggles in action…

I have the Olympus Pen EP-1 in for review. In the last few days, I’ve had the opportunity to take some test pictures, so I wanted to share them with you guys before I talk about it on GeekBrief.TV. I’ll be taking lots more before I send it back…this is just the beginning!

Last night was our Streaming Christmas Party. Geoff Smith put on an awesome concert for the 20+ people at our house and the 10,000 viewers on the live stream. We were lucky to have Philip Nelson from NewTek bring out an HD Tricaster for the event. It was the first non-NewTek live stream with an HD Tricaster, and it worked perfectly!
If you weren’t able to make it, we’ll be streaming the event throughout the holidays at CaliLive.TV. Congratulations to @BachmanFamily, who won a Drobo during the stream!
Thanks to John P., the official Party Photographer for spending the evening snapping away. There will be video added to this post later, but here’s a look at the pictures, or you can take a look at the set on John’s Flickr page.
