Hmmmmm!!! Does someone want no discussions of Google Earth??? No just a glitch. Cali says their working on it. Hope they don’t have to re-record the whole show…….. “B”
Used to get your podcast directly to my Tivo. Since you’re now on Revisions3, will that be available? I get my daily Tekzilla on Tivo, would be nice to follow you there also.
Any chance???
Best wishes in your endeavors. . . .
I know quite a few people who use the Redbox, I don’t because I use blu-ray & have a Netflix subscription, The Redbox getting blu-ray makes me consider lowering my nexflix account to just watch instantly and paying the 1.50 when I rent a movie. The video did also freeze for me on the Google Earth story.
Yes, that’s right…
In fact, the file is breaken, from 0:00 until (about) 2:36 working, but 2:37 until the last the Video and Sound are not working, only time gauge moving….cry, cry, cry…….
I use Redbox all the time. I have one in my neighborhood just around the corner. Much easier to use than blockbuster and it takes out the worst thing about the consumer experience. The slow non caring person at the check out.
David W. Cali told me “most likely” GeekBeat will come to TiVo but still must be verified & I am speculating only series 3 & above TiVo formats. For still an unknown reason not series 2 anymore (of which is all I have in my 2 houses). I think this has something to do with the Tri-Caster they are using to process the show. But who knows…. “B”
David W: You can still view Cali on the Tivo using the Custom RSS
Feed mechanism. Not as nice as showing up in the Now Playing List but at least she’s on the Big Screen and not my Ipad!
Cali, I have never touched a redbox in my life. I use netflix via my xbox and zune marketplace for movies… I think it’s a buck a day. My luck, I wouldn’t return it for 3 week!
Redbox is great for those times that you want a particular movie **right now** and it isn’t on Netflix streaming and you don’t want to pay Blockbuster’s prices.
Just be sure to stay away between 8:45 and 9 p.m., when there is a mad rush of people trying to return their movie before the 9 p.m. “turn it in or we’ll charge another dollar” deadline.
All of my “movie nerd” friends use Redbox. I suppose there’s some around now that I live in a more urban area, but so far I’ve been happy with my MythTV and AppleTV for my movie watching.
I’ve never used Redbox and I cancelled my Netflix account 3 months ago. I got tired of waiting 2 months to see new releases. I switched to Blockbuster’s subscription plan and love it. I pay the same price as I did with Netflix and get to see movies as soon as they are released. The best part is I can take a movie I received in the mail to my local Blockbuster and get another movie that day instead of waiting a week for it to come in the mail.
Also Blockbuster has Kiosk’s out there just like the Redbox one’s, why is it Cali never talked about them?
Just catching up on all the new GeekBeat episodes now that I can subscribe on my Tivo. I use Redbox as my single source for movie rentals – convenience + the excellent prices cannot be beat… I am of course one of those people who always return the movie(s) the very next day. You can even go online to see which kiosk has your movie available before you go and/or reserve a movie so it is waiting for you to pick up.
